Make-Up Tips for Girls Who Wear Glasses

Most of us who wear glasses hate the unflattering look they give us, unless your one of the lucky ones where glasses actually look great on you. So, no your not alone I struggle from the same problem, but mine are not permanent, I'm nearsighted meaning I have trouble seeing things that are far away. So until you get that laser-eye surgery done check out these 7 tips you can do to define your eyes and face so that they aren't hidden by those cruel frames. ;-)

Number One: Keep Your Eyes Neutral!
Wearing glasses attracts a lot of attention to your eyes, so keep this area neutral and simple, but remember to blend a darker color into your crease for added definition. Also, a good concealer is a must!

Number Two: Mascara
Don't be afraid of coating your lashes a few times. Maybe about 2-3 coats. Always use black mascara for the best definition.

Number Three: (Optional) Liquid-Liners
Thickness and Evenness are important when wearing glasses.
Bobbi Brown says "If your frames are thicker, you’ll want to apply a thicker line to the upper lash line so that eyes stand out. If your frames are thinner, a softer liner works."

Number Four: Add Color To the Lips
Since your going to keep your eyes neutral and simple, it's best to add the dark or bright color to your lips. Tip: If You have thin lips, try using brighter colors, dark colors will make your lips appear thinner.

Number Five: Define Your Brows
Learning how to shape and define your brows are important when wearing glasses because they can greatly define and change your entire face frame.

Number Six: Pencil Liners
If your glasses make your eyes look smaller, then line your eyes all the way around. Use a liner that is darker than your natural eye color. If they make your eyes look bigger, then use a steady/light hand to draw a thin line.

Number Seven: Transform your look from Day to Night
Add bold colors to your cheeks and lips. A Bright pink or peach to your cheeks and it will instantly give your cheeks a lift of color, then you can go for a dark lip color saying "Party Ready!"

I recommend the Bobbi Brown "Tortoise Shell" Sand Eye Palette, $50  for all the warm neutrals.

For the mascara I preferably like Cover Girl Lash Blast Mascara in Very Black, $9
