Love Or Hate This Dress?

Eva Longoria, one of the stars on the "Desperate Housewives" was seen wearing this overly ruffled mesh mess to the final season kick-off party for her soon-to-depart nighttime soap. Who do we thank for this feathered clutter?

Dolce Gabbana Spring/Summer 2012 Full Fashion Show

Here is the amazing, inspired by Italian cuisine Dolce Gabbana Spring/Summer 2012 Full Fashion Show, that took place yesterday for Milan Fashion Week.

Domenico and Stefano were inspired by Italian dishes when they created this season's designs.
While playing the song 'Mambo Italiano' by Bette Midler, the models walked down the runway with big patterns of tomatoes, peppers, eggplants and everything needed to make the a magnifico Italian dish.

In addition to designs of vegetables, the other half of the show was loaded with bright, colorful and sparkly sequins & beading of all sizes! They were settled on dresses, swim-suits and skirts. The color wheel ranged from white, black, beige, grey blue, red and yellow.

Fall Fashion Trends - Boots

There's nothing more satisfying than wearing your boots in Autumn. Especially with all the different styles out there, from thigh-high to ankle boots. All the different colors, materials and designs, you can pair them with almost any outfit! I noticed some trends in boots going on... Two things, buckles & wedges! They're everywhere, and people are really loving them too!

Wedge boots are so in, especially with suede. Like the ones below:

Faux-Suede Lace Up Bootie, $38.50 (From Charlotte Russe)

The taupe color resembles Fall in so many ways, with a sophisticated 4" stacked wedge and lace up, it's your ready to wear trendy shoe!

Here's another one of my favorites called 'Commotion' from BAKERS, selling at $110.00
Also comes in caramel and black.
Now this one has both of the trends in there; buckles and wedges! Makes it even more tempting to buy considering the price. Notice the intricate and chic detailing around the shoe, double buckle design, platform wedges and lace-up!!

Buckles!! I'm seeing them on all the different types of boots this Fall, ankle boots, riding boots, rain boots, wedge boots, suede boots, etc. etc. etc.
Check out these trendy boots from Nordstorm, 'Amber' Boot, $64.95
They would most likely become your everyday boots, the ones that slide on and off quickly and are so comfortable yet look so fabulous. They include a side-zip closure, ring-shaped buckles and flexible/supple leather. (Meaning it's bendable but won't break)
Also comes in a auburn color:

Check the buckles out in these Hunter 'Original Tall' High Gloss Rain Boot, $125.00 (Women):
Come in EVERY Color!

Make-Up Tips for Girls Who Wear Glasses

Most of us who wear glasses hate the unflattering look they give us, unless your one of the lucky ones where glasses actually look great on you. So, no your not alone I struggle from the same problem, but mine are not permanent, I'm nearsighted meaning I have trouble seeing things that are far away. So until you get that laser-eye surgery done check out these 7 tips you can do to define your eyes and face so that they aren't hidden by those cruel frames. ;-)

Number One: Keep Your Eyes Neutral!
Wearing glasses attracts a lot of attention to your eyes, so keep this area neutral and simple, but remember to blend a darker color into your crease for added definition. Also, a good concealer is a must!

Number Two: Mascara
Don't be afraid of coating your lashes a few times. Maybe about 2-3 coats. Always use black mascara for the best definition.

Number Three: (Optional) Liquid-Liners
Thickness and Evenness are important when wearing glasses.
Bobbi Brown says "If your frames are thicker, you’ll want to apply a thicker line to the upper lash line so that eyes stand out. If your frames are thinner, a softer liner works."

Number Four: Add Color To the Lips
Since your going to keep your eyes neutral and simple, it's best to add the dark or bright color to your lips. Tip: If You have thin lips, try using brighter colors, dark colors will make your lips appear thinner.

Number Five: Define Your Brows
Learning how to shape and define your brows are important when wearing glasses because they can greatly define and change your entire face frame.

Number Six: Pencil Liners
If your glasses make your eyes look smaller, then line your eyes all the way around. Use a liner that is darker than your natural eye color. If they make your eyes look bigger, then use a steady/light hand to draw a thin line.

Number Seven: Transform your look from Day to Night
Add bold colors to your cheeks and lips. A Bright pink or peach to your cheeks and it will instantly give your cheeks a lift of color, then you can go for a dark lip color saying "Party Ready!"

I recommend the Bobbi Brown "Tortoise Shell" Sand Eye Palette, $50  for all the warm neutrals.

For the mascara I preferably like Cover Girl Lash Blast Mascara in Very Black, $9

Wet Hair Trend; Love it or Hate it?

So there's a new trend going on, and I'm sure you'll love it. Why? Because its effortless :) Just take a shower, comb hair and go on with your day.
(I'll show you tips on how to keep your hair tamed if it's the frizzy type)

Ashley Olsen was spotted leaving her NYC apartment with wet hair

Kate Walsh was also seen with this trend in Los Angeles

And we've been seeing it all over the runways in New York Fashion Week

Now if your hair is uncontrollably frizzy or curly, don't worry you can still successfully try this "just out of the shower" look if you follow the tips below. Just a few easy steps.

Make sure you shower with a clarifying shampoo like Nexxus Aloe Rid, $7-$10 and then a separate conditioner (don't use the shampoo-and-conditioner-in-one products). Curly hair is naturally dry & frizzy and it needs products that moisturize. Try products like Herbal Essences "Hello Hydration", $7 or Pantene's "Pro-V Conditioner" , $6

When your done showering, comb your hair, but don't dry it with a towel, because that is what causes the frizz. Instead, use a old t-shirt and gently dry it out.

Next, take a dollop of gel in your palm (the amount depends on the length of your hair, experiment and see what fits right) and here's a Tip: Work through dry hair from the ends up.
If you use less than your hair needs, your frizzy hair will misbehave, and if you use to much it will look really greasy, so be careful. Tame it down, by running your hand a few times and your good to go.
I recommend using Biolage Bodifying Spray Gel, $14 or Kiss My Face Upper Management Medium Hold Natural Styling Gel, $9

Do you love or hate this new trend?
